From cold pressed to green blast, the juicing movement has taken off. The growing saturation of raw vegetables in newspapers, vlogs and just about every Instagram and celebrity endorsement is awash with one message – Drink up your veggies and tell everybody about it! Continue reading

Like most vegetables, garlic and onions contain vital nutrients in their outer skin. But how can we benefit from these vitamins and minerals? Eat them? Hmm… While I’m not about to start chomping down on papery onion skin (although I’m open to recipe suggestions) I do love the idea of using ingredients to their full capacity, wasting less and recycling. In the past, hand sanitiser was my staple travel accessory. A suitably convenient alternative to grubby hands and icky situations when soap and water were scarce. While I was never that person with sanitiser in their purse ready to scrub up before every meal and every outing, I did sometimes feel a little cleaning guilt, despite my fervent soap and water use. Maybe I wasn’t clean enough? Maybe I had to get on the hand sanitising bandwagon? I think they have ones in cute little bottles… Continue reading
People often ask what beauty products I recommend for beautiful skin, to which I usually rattle off a list of holistic methods including diet, meditation and a good skin care routine. A testament I still stand for.

“THERE is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more,
From these our interviews, in which I steal
From all I may be, or have been before,
To mingle with the Universe, and feel
What I can ne’er express, yet cannot all conceal” – Lord Byron
Unfortunately, frontal food labeling is generally more indicative of creative packaging than a true indication of what you’re eating. Continue reading
